REGIONAL MANAGER - AGE FRIENDLY COUNTIES PROGRAMME – WEST
The National Age Friendly Counties Programme is a ground breaking initiative bringing together an independent alliance of key service providers, statutory agencies, voluntary bodies and business leaders, all committed to achieving the vision of ‘an Ireland that is one of the best places in the world in which to grow old’
We are now seeking to recruit a Regional Manager for the West.
The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for managing the programme that has already commenced in Clare and Galway and for rolling it out into other Local Authority areas over the next 18 months.
Requirements
We seek an exceptional individual who will have a proven track record in management in the private, public or voluntary sector and in the implementation of comprehensive strategic change plans. They will have significant experience in the execution of multiple projects and multi stakeholder management.
They will provide effective and energetic leadership to the Age Friendly Counties Programme across the region. This will be combined with a presence, communications skills, humour and enthusiasm to lead out this programme, while gaining the confidence of many external audiences.
They should demonstrate excellent knowledge in a number of relevant areas including local government, health services, planning and business. Previous experience of the ageing sector is an advantage as is a sound knowledge of West of Ireland region.
